You are cordially invited to participate in the great adventure of our times.
Our society faces a challenge that will fundamentally change the way we live. It is looking increasingly likely that within the next five years (from Spring 2007 onwards) global supplies of oil will peak and will no longer meet global demand. The result will be the end of cheap oil. This phenomenon is known as Peak Oil and it spells the end of 'business as usual' for our industrial growth economy."

Stop for a moment and reflect on how much our way of life depends on cheap, easily available oil. How many items around you are made from oil products? How is your food grown and how did it get to your table? How is your healthcare provided? Your waste disposed of? We can see how cheap oil underpins almost every aspect of life in 21st century Britain.
Once there as more awareness of this issue we can explore a positive vision of an abundant future with resilient local communities, as well as practical means of preparing for the coming changes.
